The current officers of TPI founded the company in 1978, making this shareholdergroup intimately involved in TPI's development.

In 1980 the Worms SM group, heir of the Worms Group, a shipowner and shipping agent, became a shareholder of TPI.

Founded in 1841 in Paris, the Worms Group was active in ocean transport from its beginning.

The group was instrumental in many important projects, such as the Suez Canal, making it a significant contributor to growth in international trade.

In 1975 Worms Services Maritimes was created.

Worms SM is a shipping agent with a strong presence in France and throughout the Mediterranean basin.
